This computer-produced glossary is a companion volume to the "Newspaper and Periodicals Reader" used in the "Chinese Mandarin Advanced Course" developed by the Defense Language Institute. The glossary is sorted according to Standard Telegraphic Code group order. In order to use the work, it is recommended that either "BIAZHUN DIANMA BEN" (People's Postal and Telecommunications Publishing House), "BEIJING" (1967), or Volume One of "A General and Technical Chinese-English Dictionary" (McGraw-Hill Book Company, 1963) be used as a reference.
