Mori is an Austronesian language, spoken in the eastern districts of Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. It was first classified by Esser (1938) as a member of the Bungku-Laki subgroup of the Sulawesi languages and then later by Salzner (1960) as a member of the B ungku-Mori subgroup of south-west Indonesian languages. Recently, it has been reclassified by Barr, Barr and Salombe (1979) as a member of the Bungku-Mori subgroup of the West Central Sulawesi group of south-west Indonesian languages.
