A new reading of the runic inscription on a silver cup from the Issyk barrow is based on a thorough analysis of written, graphic, and random strokes. The order of the letter is from right to left. The first line is written at the edge of the bowl, the second – in the middle, both in the direction to the place of the fallen handle. The text takes place, not damaged by corrosion. After the inscription the bowl did not use. The letter is basically identical to Old Turkic. In terms of content, this is a commemorative phrase. Transcription: Qïz-er, ičiŋ, oqu-süŋügü čezib, köčü aŋsaġ “Virgo-hero, have a drink when, having untied arrows and spears,we will commemorate the migration.” Another version takes into account the subscript strokes: Qïz, egir ičiŋ, oqu-süŋügü čezib, köčü aŋsaġ. “Daughter, drink an acorus when, having untied arrows and spears, we will commemorate the migration.”
