The Author believes that it would be possible to see, in the inscriptions of Shāhbāzgaṛhī, alongside a "cultured" language, typical of the local chancellery, and characterized overall by a strict adherence to the model provided by Sanskrit, also phenomena originating from the "local" linguistic environment.
