Acarya Shankaraswamipada. Translated and critically edited with annotations in Tibetan Losang Norbu Shastri. Supra-divine praise. Pandita series-1
Varanasi: Losang Norbu Shastri, 1990. — 72 p. This work of Acarya Śankaraswamipāda entitled ''Devātiśayastutiḥ" (Supra-Divine Praise) is one of the texts in praise of the Enlightened Buddha in comparison with the other mundane gods presently available in Sanskrit. The other one, is the "Viśeṣastava" (Special Praise) by Udbhatta Siddha Swami-pāda, brother of Śankaraswami as recorded in the Tibetan accounts, is not found in the original Sanskrit. This text is collected under the heading “Collected works of Praise” in Tangyur. The present Sanskrit version is based on the original Mss. possessed by the late Amoghavajra Vajrācārya of Kāthesimbu resident of Kāthmandu, Nepal. The Mss. were first published in the Journal 'Sanskrit Sandeśa'. Dr. Jñāna Mani of Sanskrit Department, Tribhuvan University, Nepal kindly handed me a copy of ''Vṛttamālāstutiḥ" by Mahāpaṇḍita Sthavira Jñānaśrīmitra in which some portions of this text were published. Then through Mr. Kalsang Dorjee, a close friend of mine he later sent a complete copy of this texts by a later scholar on the ‘Sanskrit Sandesa.' Both these works were printed in two Bhujimol and Rañca scripts possessed by the late Amoghavajra Vajrācārya and dated in the Nepalese Year 466 i.e. 1345 A.D.
