The report describes the investigations of "hot particles" which were initiated and performed at the Environmental Laboratory at SSI one year after the Chernobyl accident.
The aim of the study was to gain more and better information about the amount, distribution, sizes and composition of the deposited particles.
The report describes how the particles were identified and collected, the subsequent preparation of the collected samples and different analyses performed.
Part of the work has earlier been reported (Ker87, Fal88).
