The skills taught in this book are aimed at equipping students with the expertise needed to function in the world outside their classroom. This book is primarily designed to familiarize students of Pashto with the basic terms and vocabulary needed in interacting with Afghans and to give students opportunities to develop effective speaking skills for situations related to daily life in Afghanistan.
This book is not intended to be an independent textbook for learning Pashto. It should be used as supplementary material along with other textbooks. In order to most effectively use this book, students should already be familiar with the Pashto alphabet and should be able to read Pashto. Furthermore, students should be able to use the present, past and future tenses. Students should also already possess some basic key vocabulary.
