If you're not a beginner, but a stronger player, this book may be of some interest to you, as it doesn't have the obvious combinations you usually see in chess books, that a tough opponent would notice coming a mile off, in matches. This book's combinations are harder to see; but each one has a verbal clue. The clues are not the usual 'removal of the guard' or 'combined operations' type clues. They're more like crossword puzzle clues. We all must decide what we want out of chess, and choose our reference material accordingly.
