You will be introduced to vocabulary through illustrations and lists. Then, in the A practicar section, you will work through a series of activities that will require you to speak minimally at first and then progress to more open-ended communicative activities.Conexiones culturales
This section has short cultural information pieces and tasks that encourage you to go beyond the reading and research various aspects of the Spanish-speaking world. You will have the opportunity to share some of your findings online with your classmates in Share it!Exploraciones gramaticales
Through a series of video vignettes, you will meet eight characters from different parts of the Spanishspeaking world. After watching the video you will be asked to analyze a segment of the video transcript to discover the patterns and rules of Spanish grammar in the A analizar section. This section is followed by A comprobar, in which you can compare your conclusions with the explanation of the rules. Then in the A practicar section, you will practice the grammar concept in a variety of activities.Lectura
