The Nature Method Institutes, 1942-1956.
Entirely composed in English, "English by the Nature Method" provides a good introduction to English. The method is exactly the same as in "Lingua Latina per Se illustrata" by Hans Orberg: by means of illustrations and modifications, text can be understood through context and by reference to words already learned. Not only understanding but also pronunciation is stressed by the aid of interlinear IPA transcriptions of the text. All the sixty chapters are followed by exercises focusing on grammar.
